Alex is a kind and patient piano instructor. He was willing to begin lessons on an electronic keyboard and help evaluate our daughter's interest. His low-key teaching style has allowed her to feel calm during lessons, and build confidence and enthusiasm for what she's learning about music and the instrument itself. He is also open to our daughter's interest in learning music from Harry Potter, even as a beginner. He is prompt, communicative and flexible with schedules. We've been very pleased with our daughter's progress and the approach Alex takes with each lesson.

Our two sons (8 and 5 years old) have been attending Alex' piano lessons for half a year now. From the very beginning, the boys were so happy and excited about it. Alex is incredibly patient with the kids, he is always friendly and calm, and he knows how to handle the boys. He shows interest in their ideas and suggestions, too. I would definitely recommend Alex as a very good and very empathic piano teacher. He does a really good job, especially with younger kids.

Alex has been teaching our 7 year-old son for about 10 months now and we've been very happy with his instruction. He is patient, kind and calm with our son, who can be fidgety and easily distracted at times. Alex is always punctual for lessons and communicative when it comes to scheduling, cancellations, fees, etc. In times where we've had to cancel, he has been flexible with rescheduling lessons. Most importantly, our son enjoys his lessons, looks forward to them every week and has progressed significantly since working with Alex. We highly recommend lessons with Alex!

Alex has been working with our boys (ages 8 and 6) for 8 months now. He is very patient, and good at explaining technique and musical concepts. Our boys have both made a lot of progress with 30 min weekly lessons. More importantly, they have been enjoying learning the piano! They love that he not only works along with lesson books but also encourages them to learn songs that they like (Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc). We would not hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone looking for a great piano teacher.

Alex is just fantastic. My son (10 years old) wanted to start piano lessons and someone on Nextdoor recommended Alex. It turned out we could only do piano for about 3-4 months (long story) but Alex was game. So my son has been doing lessons for about 3 months now and I'm really impressed. It has been a perfect intro to music. Alex is highly professional, confident, competent, and patient. He has a great set of starter books for piano beginners and my son enjoys practicing the songs. Both my beginner 13 year old daughter and 11 year old son look forward to their lessons with Alex, so much so that they will happily put off activities with friends so that they can make it to lessons. Both kids also practice what Alex has taught them without ever being asked. They say that Alex makes learning the piano fun and keeps them engaged by explaining things really clearly in a way that makes sense to them. I think Alex is both a gifted teacher and musician. Alex is also always prompt, easy to communicate with and extremely courteous and friendly.
